Mohamed Areif Shaik is a seasoned technologist with over a decade of experience in the software development life cycle. He is currently a Member of Technical Staff at Amadeus Labs, where he manages and leads deliveries by development, business analysts, and QA. His expertise spans across cloud computing, distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, software design and architecture, design patterns, REST API, microservices, Golang, C++, security, and PCIDSS. Mohamed has a strong ability to understand and communicate complex requirements in a simple and concise manner, which makes him a valuable team builder and collaborator. He is also an Azure Security Engineer certified in AZ-500 and a Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certified in AZ-303 and AZ-304. In his current role at Amadeus, Mohamed manages a team of developers, BA, and QA to maintain and evolve Amadeus' central solution for formatting and delivering documents, a mission-critical application used by airports, airlines, travel agencies, front, mid, and back-office systems. As a Security Whitehat for the product, he integrates Secure Development Life Cycle with threat modeling, library scans, secure code scans, authentication, and authorization. He is also the PCI-DSS representative for the product for the last three successful audits. Mohamed's past experience includes working as a Senior Software Engineer and a Member of Technical Staff at Amadeus, where he focused on incident response and the stability of the Amadeus Production System. He was also responsible for the design and delivery of all referential data packages from Mainframe (TPF) systems to the newer Open back-end architecture (C++, Distributed System architectures). Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from Visvesvaraya Technological University and has completed his PUC in Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology from Karnataka Board of the Pre-University Education. He also attended St. Michael's School, Madikeri, for his primary and high school education. Overall, Mohamed's extensive experience, technical expertise, and leadership skills make him a valuable asset to any organization.
